![]() ![]() One more question: I saw the ads say you can make your own class with whatever combo of gear you choose, but it seems like the staff weapons are less effective when used with plate armor. I was kind of hoping to be able to runescape it with crafting all my own stuff, but that seems a bit difficult for my first character. Originally posted by N473:So what I'm hearing here is I should work on combat before I work on crafting, since I'll have to get into combat in order to get the better materials. Crafting is for losers who dont want to pvp and lose their stuff To make all your money you have to grind up your weapon skills and gank the top tiered players. This isnt a namby pamby game, you cant NOT participate in PvP and expect to find the best stuff and make the good money. Want to do serious crafting? gotta haul your ass out to a dangerous zone where you can do serious gathering. Want to make big money? you need to become a serious crafter. On the market 100 t4 blocks are worth about 15k silver, 100 t5 blocks are about 70k, and 100 t6 blocks are about 300k and then 100 t7 blocks are over a million its why each new tier is worth exponentially more money. Yes you ALWAYS have to use Tx bars +Ty ore to make a Ty bar/block/plank its how the game is set up. T4 isnt profitable because its the lowest teir of armor/weapons (T1-3 is starter gear, not real equipment) Its also the easiest and cheapest to produce you have to do many tasks to get to level 100.Įver heard of Runescape? its in that vain of games. The "Grind" is part of the game, its a grinding game. Originally posted by RUM-Cajun Rabbit:This game probably isn't for you. Gathering is for very very long term economy. U get a build, u do dungeons, u buy ur stuff from the market. Do I actually have to go to a T5 place to reliably mine T4? U never gather anything nor use any npc. It was easy enough to never run out of copper and tin to mine, but I'm starting to hit a wall here. Where's the resources? I'm in a T4 area trying to mine iron, and I can't only find 4 or 5 nodes within a short ride of each other. I can see the grind already, and it's making me want to quit a little bit after getting into t4 mining and smithing. Do I actually have to go to a T5 place to reliably mine T4? I can only shudder at the thought of this system continuing, making T5 cost copper, tin, iron, and titanium.ģ. ![]() I get that copper and tin make bronze, but it doesn't take copper, tin, and iron to make steel. ![]() I shouldn't have to go through T2, and T3 gathering every time I want to make a T4 item. Do I seriously always have to make copper bars to make bronze bars to make steel bars? It's unrealistic, tedious, and kind of highlights some design flaws in this game. Making them into things seems to devalue the bars worse.Ģ. By the time I pay the crazy 15- 25% fees everyone has on their smelter, there's no way to profit from selling steel bars at the market. I'm lucky to make a few silver off of any crafting. You have to pay someone to use their forge, so T4 crafting isn't profitable at all. ![]() ![]()
